About
The Real About Me
I believe that building a strong working relationship means not going in blind. Understanding the person or company you’re dealing with—their values, their goals, and who they really are—is crucial.
My name is Ira Wolfe, and I’m a licensed insurance agent and broker specializing in the group insurance market. That includes extended healthcare, dental insurance, and retirement plans. As an independent broker, I represent the entire group insurance marketplace, which means my recommendations are always objective and focused on one thing—what’s best for my clients.
Business should be simple. Too often, companies get stuck with benefit plans that don’t really work—for their employees or their bottom line. I see it all the time: rising costs, limited coverage, and brokers who disappear until renewal time. That’s not how I operate.
I believe in hands-on, results-driven solutions. Whether it’s lowering costs, improving coverage, or finding a better fit, my goal is always the same—making sure my clients have a plan that actually works for them. Service is everything to me. I take calls from clients and their employees, answer questions, and help with claims. I fight to get my clients the best plan at the lowest cost. This isn’t just a job for me—it’s something I put my heart into. My clients’ best interests always come first.
Outside of work, I’m a father of two, a devoted husband, and a good friend. Integrity is at the core of who I am—I’d rather tell a potential client not to take a plan if it’s not the right fit. I also have a thing about being on time. My wife teases me about it: “Ira, if the party starts at 8, we don’t have to be there at 8 on the dot!” But whether it’s a meeting, a Zoom call, or a dinner invitation, I’m always punctual.
I keep active—HIIT workouts and weight training five days a week, biking outside when the weather’s good. I love cooking (especially Indian food, which my wife definitely appreciates), gardening in the spring, and a good conversation—whether it’s about business, strategy, or just a great cup of coffee.
Most of all, I’m grateful. Grateful for my family, for my health, and for the life I’ve built. And I’m especially grateful to be Canadian—to live in a country that gives people the opportunity to work hard, take care of their families, and build something meaningful. I never take that for granted. I approach everything with a problem-solving mindset because I believe every challenge has a solution. You just need the right person to find it.
with gratitude,
Ira Wolfe
